Course Overview: This course provides an introduction to the principles, theories, and practices of early childhood education (ECE). Students will explore key concepts related to child development, learning theories, curriculum design, and effective teaching strategies for young children from birth to age eight. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, readings, and hands-on activities, students will gain a foundational understanding of the roles and responsibilities of early childhood educators and the importance of providing developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive learning experiences.

Course Format: This course is delivered through a combination of in-person lectures, online discussions, and hands-on activities. The Cooperative Learning Program for Daycare Center Interns is designed to provide aspiring teachers and future daycare center directors with hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development opportunities in a collaborative and supportive environment. Through a combination of classroom training, practical experience, and ongoing mentorship, interns will develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to excel in the field of early childhood education and leadership.

The Future Teachers Program for High School Students is a comprehensive initiative designed to inspire, prepare, and support motivated students who aspire to pursue careers in education. Through a combination of coursework, hands-on experiences, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, participants will gain valuable insights into the field of teaching and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective educators.

By participating in the Future Teachers Program for High School Students, participants will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue their passion for teaching and make a positive difference in the lives of future generations. They will also work in paid internships during spring and summer breaks as they continue their education growth.
